"Live" tab

Transcribed by Suuuupaadave.

This is the most comprehensive tab I've ever done, so I apologize for any minor hiccups. Below you will find chord voicings, lyrics and chord symbols, and complete tablature for all of the fingerpicking. Take some time to look over the tabs and the chords before attempting to play through this as it takes a little practice to get the different rhythms down. Feel free to send me a message with any thoughts or comments on this tab. Thank you!

This is fantastic work, Dave. I've been listening to the original track slowed down and so far it seems perfectly accurate. I'm using it to learn the song. It is a little time consuming to learn but not technically that difficult. It's seems to be a great piece to improve finger-picking skills.

You can see my half-baked practice play-through here:

So, I've recorded it, and sent it to Joe, and he added vocals. My play through is still a little rough. I was not able to get one complete take free of mistakes, so there are some edits. I'll try again after some more practice, but the result is here:

http://joecovenant.bandcamp.com/track/live-a-paul-storm-cover

I may have dropped a rest that should be in there in the verses.

There is a confusing spot in your tab: in the section where you provide the tab staff for the verse lead in, you should remove the "x2" since you have already doubled it, and it makes it look like the phrase is played 4 times for the verse lead-in.

I'm still having a bit of trouble with the pattern shift in the first half of the bridge, where the Dsus2 goes under the end of the phrase "what is a monster anyway?" I'll keep practicing!

Ah, one more comment. In the original, in the "verse lead-in" for the second verse _only_, Storm plays a barr with the G and Cmaj7 pattern, but then instead of repeating it, plays a bar based around Dsus2. It's very similar to the Dus2 patterns he uses in the verses and bridge, but I thought it was worth mentioning since this tab seems otherwise note-for-note accurate.
